Our story began in the late 1980s. Dr. Hamid Saadatmanesh led the way in using Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) for structural repair and upgrades. Building upon this foundational breakthrough, CarbonWrap Composites has embarked on a relentless quest for innovation, continually expanding the horizons of FRP technology. Our relentless research led to a variety of FRP applications. These applications revolutionized repairs for concrete, masonry, steel, and wood structures.
In 2011, CarbonWrap Composites was acquired by Dow Chemical and formed DowAksa to further our global initiatives with our innovative solutions. In 2017, CarboShield was formed to address outdated marine infrastructure not included in the United States of America’s $3 Trillion infrastructure problem. In 2019, we launched our patented Carbon Fiber Biotechnology system Medicarbone, a revolution in Bone Repair powered by First Defense Artificial Intelligence.

CarbonWrap Composites provided engineering services and installation of a carbon fiber lining system on our unit 3 and 4- 10’ diameter PccP circulating water lines. The reinforcing wires in the PccP pipe had corroded to the point that the pipe needed replacement, or reinforcement. The decision was made to contact CarbonWrap to install a carbon fiber lining system to reinforce the pressure capacity of the circulating water lines.
